Message It is a little difficult for some to setup, but once you set it up, you lock the settings and never have to fuss with it again. It has fuzzy logic, which some don't like, but I don't see why. It only causes problems on sequetial turbo cars like the supra. On the Z it helps to learn the cars boost curve, anticipate and prevent boost spikes before they occur. You have to do a few test runs to set it up. I still have minor spikes, but I believe its attributed to long hose lengths required for twinturbo cars. It can function in manual mode too if you want.

The unit has a high and low boost setting I can switch between with a simple button. And an aditional add on scramble boost settting that gives you a preset amount of higher boost for a preset period of time, for both the low and high, mode giving you 4 boost setting. It has 5 if you count off. Once you get all your settings calibrated, you need to "lock" the settings so they dont keep autoadjusting as the computer learns.

Overall I am veryy happy with the unit. It is very nice, but it is an awful lot of money new. I lucked out and found a used unit for $150. If I was going to buy a new unit, I probally would have got a profec B as I can't rationalize spending more then 300 dollars for a boost controller considering its limited gains with stock injecter ic's and turbos.

The profec B is probally the best value for the money. It has a high and low boost setting knob. A button two switch between them. A sharp/mild knob to control how fast the boost curve comes in, and an off on switch. It doesn't get much simpler then that. And it does what its suppose to without a lot of fuss.

If money isn't an object the Blitz dual SBC is one of the best out there. It basically has everyth my evc iv has plus it can display the boost in psi, and it uses dual solenoids to control the boost and it can interface to the powermeter unit.

Hope this helps.
